We are committed to caring for people and all their vulnerabilities, across healthcare, social emergency response, childcare support, and immigration.
Centro Giovanni Paolo I, the Blessing of the Secretary of State of His Holiness̀ S. Em.za Parolin
A day of celebration at the John Paul I Centre: Cardinal Parolin meets children and cooperative members

In 1993, the Consorzio Gruppo La Cascina was established with the aim of promoting synergies among its member organisations and achieving economies of scale capable of improving the performance of companies in their respective reference markets, with the goal of enhancing the quality of work for our members and the overall efficiency of the consortium entities.
Alongside traditional vertical mutuality—typical of the cooperative system and focused on job creation—we introduced a form of horizontal mutuality, aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of cooperatives and, more generally, of the consortium entities across the territory, by raising the quality with which services are delivered.
We have adopted an approach that is also based on continuous investment in staff training. The exchange of best practices and experiences within the Consortium represents for us a source of ongoing enrichment, which promotes—while safeguarding the necessary skills—desirable flexibility and the sharing of knowledge among the consortium entities.
From 2010 onwards, we expanded our capacity to operate thanks to the entry into the Consortium of the social cooperative Medihospes. Social and healthcare assistance, social care, reception services and, more generally, the wide range of personal services have strengthened our offering and our ability to respond to individuals’ needs across every part of the country.

What most calls us to account is not so much our turnover volumes — although significant and now exceeding EUR 600 million — as the responsibility and honour of ensuring employment for over 16,000 people: worker-members, employees and collaborators who bring passion and professionalism to their work every day.
The Consorzio Gruppo La Cascina, promoted by Cooperativa La Cascina, is a joint organisation of enterprises of primary significance at national level. Within the Consortium, in line with a model of horizontal mutuality among enterprises that share the same values, several specialised companies participate:
Vivenda S.p.A. – We operate in the collective catering and global service sectors.
La Cascina Costruzioni S.r.l. – We are active in the construction and public works sector.
Medihospes – A third-sector entity with which we are engaged in caring for people and all their vulnerabilities, across healthcare, social emergency response, support for minors, immigration and, more broadly, personal services.
A business experience that combines tradition and innovation and which, thanks to continuous development, enables us today to achieve significant results.
What most calls us to account is not so much our turnover volumes—although significant and now exceeding EUR 600 million—as the social responsibility of ensuring employment for over 14,000 people: worker-members, employees and collaborators who bring passion and professionalism to their work every day in every region across Italy.
We operate in both the public and private sectors, offering tailored solutions and high-quality services capable of responding effectively to the diverse needs of our clients.
